Patient GuaranteeNorthwest Medical Center is a full-service healthcare facility committed to providing excellent care to our patients and support to their families. This statement of guarantee lets you know what to expect while being cared for and treated at Northwest Medical Center and foremost you can expect that you will experience a safe, clean and healing environment.

We expect all our staff members to be competent in their work, always courteous to patients and visitors, and compassionate-to go beyond what is expected and provide you with exceptional service and kindness.

We will maintain your privacy, respect and dignity always. If you choose, your stay here can be confidential in which case any visitor must be approved by you prior to them entering your room. If you wish, your door will always be closed.

We strive to have patients satisfied with their care 100% of the time. If you have any concerns or dissatisfaction with your treatment or care, we want to resolve it immediately. You can discuss it with your charge nurse or call our patient advocate office @ 205-487-7935. They will do all they can to resolve your concern as quickly as possible.

You will have assigned nursing personnel and a charge nurse that will oversee your care and carry out the orders of the physician treating you.

The hospitalist physician will see you every day on rounds to monitor your care and explain your condition of illness and plans for your recovery.

Healthy and nutritious meals are important to your recovery. Our nutritionist, if requested, will meet with you to explain your dietary needs. Breakfast is served at 7:00 am, lunch is served at 11:00 am, and dinner is served at 5:00 pm.
Each morning the housekeeper on your floor will clean your room and bathroom.

Different members of our administrative and treatment staff will be making patient rounds to assure your medical and personal needs are satisfied.

It is our desire to get you back home and on your road to recovery as soon as possible, we will do everything we can to facilitate your recovery. The average length of stay for our patients is usually three days.

If you would like a copy of your medical records while in the hospital, this service is available Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Please call the following number 205-487-7724 and a member of the Medical Records Department will come to your room for you to sign a release of information form. Your medical records will be released to you or the authorized representative that you choose as soon as possible.
